To run a new ad campaign, you will first need to create a new order. After creating the order, you will need to create line items, add creatives, and approve the order before it can serve.
Ad Manager does not reserve inventory until the order is approved.
Add a new creative
Ø Sign in to Google Ad Manger
Ø Creative (left corner of page)
Ø Click on “new creative”
Ø Enter advertiser name
Ø Standard creative > select “image” (first option on ‘standard creative’)
Ø Settings > enter name of creative
Ø Target ad unit size > enter ad unit size (728x90 or 300x250)
Ø Browse to select image you want to upload
Ø Click-through URL > enter URL of the desired landing page
Ø Alt text > enter alt text if the advertiser provided one
Ø Associated ad technology provider > Use EU user consent settings
Ø Save and Preview
Add new orders
Ø Sign in to Google Ad Manager
Ø Navigate to Delivery
Ø Click on Order.
Ø Click New order.
Ø Enter your order information in the appropriate fields.
· General Settings: enter the ad title, name of the advertiser, and trafficker (salesperson). If it is a new advertiser, click on the “?” to add a new company.
· Advanced Settings: (optional) enter advertiser contacts, PO number if you have one, secondary trafficker (if there is one).
· Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “add line item.”
Line Item (I have used only ‘display ad” option)
· I skip “line item” template,’ as I do not have one.
· Enter the ad title in the ‘name’ field
· Line item type - I have used only “standard” and “house” options. Note line item types that reserve inventory are Sponsorship and Standard (impressions based).
· Expected creatives – enter creative size (e.g., 728x90, 300x250). This must match the creative size you are going to upload.
· Delivery settings – enter delivery start/end time, number of impressions. Enter pace at which you want the ad to deliver (I use mostly “evenly.”)
· Inventory targeting – this is the ad unit placement “check LSA.”
· Click on Save
Creatives
· After you click on “save,” you will be prompted to “add creative.”
· You will have two options: “upload new creative” or “use existing creative.”
· To upload a display image ad: select “image,” “upload file, choose the correct file size, then enter the click-through URL.
· Save and approve the ad.
